I’m Scott Best, creator of the Low-Sodium Dining Series and a Google Local Guide (Level 7) with over 2 million views on my restaurant reviews and photos.
After watching people I care about struggle with high blood pressure and heart concerns, I realized how hard it is to eat out without blowing your sodium goals. Restaurant menus almost never show sodium, and “healthy” options are often loaded with salt.
I started building these guides one city at a time—digging through real menus, checking ingredients, and finding dishes that could realistically stay around ~700 mg sodium when ordered with a few simple tweaks.
Today, the Low-Sodium Dining Series spans multiple major U.S. cities, with more on the way—including Disney dining guides. My mission is to make low-sodium dining practical and enjoyable for locals, travelers, and caregivers who still want to enjoy restaurants without guessing what’s in their food.
